Experience Through Their Eyes

Pizza was fantastic! The pies were delicious! The owners were the cutest couple. They even had gluten free options. If we ever go back that direction it will be a must stop for us.

Ok. Small town in Arkansas - Nashville, Arkansas. First night at the Southern Belle Inn we ask for a place to eat other than fast food. Well wouldn't you know the owner's mom recommends her son's place (how do you say "no") Smoke House Pizzeria - This small establishment provides big taste, friendly service and A SECRET WEAPON of the most delicious kind! We ordered two "subs" BBQ Pulled Pork and BBQ Brisket. It was truly one of the best overall subs I have eaten, and it only has 3 things; Pork, BBQ sauce, bread simple right? So why do so many other places get it so wrong? The Pork is melt in your mouth moist, the sauce is tangy & sweet and a hint of "something", and the bread... to die for. The pork is not cooked in the sauce, so you just get flavor; the bread is slightly toasted but honestly you wouldnt know. Bread is opened, first layer of sauce goes directly on bread; next comes the pork and then a second layer of sauce. Thats it. How good? Since they were closed on Sunday and Monday, I dreamed of the sandwich for two straight nights. The Brisket Sub was equally amazing, see above! So what do you have in Nashville Arkansas for desert? Pie! Here my readers is the secret weapon; Owner Craig's wife Holly - two of the nicest people - makes the pies HOMEMADE. Pecan, Apple, Chocolate, Pumpkin, Cherry AND... wait for it... BUTTERMILK!! And not just any Buttermilk Pie but a secret recipe pie. I have had Buttermilk Pie once - at a friends house "down South" and never again - I travel just about everywhere in the U.S. and Canada and have never seen it on a menu! Holly's pies are what the saying "died and gone to heaven" was invented for. So I got to bragging about another homemade pie I had just outside Bedford Indiana - Strawberry. Well Holly's face lit up and said she had just come across fresh, ripe strawberrys and was fix'n to bake a few (its not always on menu) so of course the Italian from the East Coast ordered a whole pie - see below! Small place with a drive through, where every car is greeted by the Pizza with Shades on. 4 small tables inside and in some picnic tables outside. I might just convince these two to ship me pies every month!

Oh my goodness, if you get anywhere near this place, and don't stop there to eat, you are missing out on the BEST PIZZA that you will ever eat in our opinion. I can't believe that we have been coming down here since April of 2016, and didn't find this place till now. We will definitely be making this one of our places to eat out at. We are already deciding what we want to try next year. We had the Voodoo Pie, Hawaiian, and the Supreme, and they were all amazing!!!!!!! Thank you so much for the great food!!! Update: We were so full from the pizza that we didn't have room for dessert, so I went back the next day and got a piece of the Strawberry, Buttermilk and Coconut all homemade by Holly the wife and they were all delicious, of course I'm partial to Strawberry and Donnie is partial to Coconut and he ate his before I could get a picture of it . Me and coworker stopped for lunch while in town for appointment and met the owner who took our picture in front of the painted pizza wings. Super nice guy named Craig, who hand stretches the dough himself. We got a salad with raspberry vinaigrette and pepperoni pizza. Both were phenomenal. They don't use cheap ingredients. It's a must try place if you're in Nashville for any reason.

We're from Indiana and on our vacation we saw this on google maps and decided to go here for dinner and the menu has so many options, the pizza is delicious, and the price is great! And the second we walked in we were greeted and treated like family. The guy we talked to was very kind and helpful and walked us through the menu. Definitely recommend! P.s. we got their make your own 18" with brisket, shrimp and bacon

So glad we stopped! We've travelled through this area several times, but never stopped to eat. Super impressed with this locally owned and operated pizzeria. The owner was welcoming, told us how they craft their pizzas, and even gave us some history on the names of the pizza. I had the Wild Bill named after the owner's grandfather. Pizza was great! Mariners and Alfredo sauces available. Stop by!
